Delete Your Account from the App
You can delete your account and all associated data directly from the Eggus app:
- Tap on Settings from the top left menu
- Scroll down and tap Delete Account
- Confirm the deletion when prompted
Your account and data will be permanently deleted immediately.
Request Deletion via Email
If you are unable to access the app or prefer to request deletion manually, you can email us at support@eggus.io with the subject line "Delete My Account". Please include the email address associated with your Eggus account so we can locate and remove your data.
We will process your request within 7 business days and send you a confirmation once complete.
What Gets Deleted
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed:
- Your profile information (name, bio, avatar)
- Your contact list and encounter history
- All messages you have sent and received
- Ping and bump history
- Push notification tokens and device identifiers
- Authentication credentials
What We May Retain
In limited cases, we may retain certain data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes:
- Records needed to comply with legal obligations (e.g., abuse reports)
- Anonymized or aggregated data that can no longer be linked to you
